1. Find questions you’ve already answered…

If you’re anything like me I’m sure you’ve made lots of forum posts where you’ve helped someone in some way. Just turn your answer into an article for use in your newsletter or ecourse.

2. Look for questions people have…

Just supposing you’ve never answered a question in a forum before here’s a really great way of finding questions to answer and create content around.

Go to answers.yahoo.com then type in the main keywords for your niche to search for questions on.

You’ll then get a nice list of questions people have asked about your chosen subject. Take a few minutes to look through those questions for the ones most commonly asked.

Once you know the most popular questions just write your content as your answer and send it out to you subscriber list.

It doesn’t get any easier than this.

3. Expand on you most popular blog posts…

If you’re like many other internet marketers I’m sure by now you’ve realized the power of blogging. But did you know that it’s probably full of some content gems just waiting to be picked up.

Here’s all you do… look for your most popular blog posts then expand on them and turn them into articles you can publish in your newsletter, or as an ecourse delivered by email.

4. Interview experts…

All you do with this one is find someone you can interview, record your conversation then transcribe it and turn it into a series of articles you can publish direct to your subscribers, in your newsletter, as an ecourse or even as a PDF people can download.

If you can’t find anyone to interview, try flipping it around the other way and get someone to interview you.

5. Just ask…

If you have a subscriber list, a blog or a website just set up a survey where you ask people this question… “what’s your single biggest question about (add your subject)?”.

Once you have your questions back from your subscribers all you do then is write out your answer. There’s your great content.

By using this approach you can build a stronger connection with your list of subscribers as you answer their specific questions.

The possibilities of content creation are virtually endless. Go ahead and try a few out. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how easy content creation for your newsletter or ecourse.

How does a sales funnel work? A sales funnel is different than your ordinary sales process in that it approaches the sale as an ongoing process rather than a one time “hit or miss” proposition.

Here is an example of an easy way to take an existing system built to sell just one time, and turn it into a simple sales funnel that can triple your money.

Say you are dropping your leads onto a sales page that sells an ebook on “How To Grow Orchids” at $97. Your prospects come to the sales page, either buy or don’t buy. Then, if you don’t have a funnel, you have to go get more leads if you want to make more money. Here’s how I would turn this into a sales funnel.

1. I would start by sending my leads to a squeeze page instead of a sales page. This puts your prospects straight into your funnel, where you will be able to contact them again and again – which means even if they don’t buy now, they may buy a few weeks or even months down the road.

2. Then, I would send them a free gift. Often, I offer the free gift when I ask for the optin on my squeeze page. So, you may offer a free report on the subject of “How To Find Rare Orchid Suppliers” when you ask for their name and email. Important: be sure your free gift is of really high quality. Don’t ever give your prospects anything that’s not excellent quality, or you will lose them faster than a greased pig.

3. You can then drop your prospects on your sales page, for your ebook on “How To Grow Orchids.”They may or may not buy, but this is not the end of the funnel, it’s only the beginning so even if they don’t buy you haven’t lost anything.

4. If your prospects don’t buy at this point, they are still inside your funnel. If you are following my plan, you will have made an autoresponder series and your prospects continue to get emails with more free gifts, and more opportunities to buy, until they become customers.

5. Once your prospects do buy, that is still not the end of your funnel, it is only the beginning, if you are doing this right. For example, after they buy your ebook on “How to Grow Orchids” they can be immediately presented with a chance to upgrade to “The Expert’s Guide To Orchids” for $197. Shabambo!…You have now tripled your income on this lead.

6. Again, if they say “no” to this offer, you haven’t lost your lead since they are now entered into your autoresponder sequence. If they do say “yes” then the next step in this sales funnel should give them another chance to add to their order. For example, they are then presented with a chance to attend a live teleconference on “How to Grow Orchids” where they can learn and ask questions live with an Orchid expert.

Say this teleconference is free, but during the call they are offered an Platinum Orchid Experts Package for $499. You have now turned a $97 sale into a $791 sale.

7. Your sales funnel can be as long as it makes sense the first time around. In this case I have shown you a sales funnel that has 7 steps:

1. The email
2. The squeeze
3. The free gift
4. The sales page
5. The first upsell page
6. The second upsell page
7. The teleconference

Result: a sales funnel that brings in $791 rather than $97 per customer. And that’s only the customers that go all the way trough your sales funnel. The ones that only go part way through (at $97 or $197) are no loss, they are just icing on the cake.

And, of course, your customers are STILL on your autoresponder list, so they continue to receive communication, gifts, and offers from you forever.

Question:

Finding someone honest to work with for a limited period of time on a certain project is my biggest issue.

Of course there is the question of trust if you go to forums to find someone since you don’t know each other at all.

In my case I have a big asset which I think is a problem for many. It is TIME. I have time.

I also have computer and internet skills and I am not easily intimidate by technology.

I am a good writer and I just love to write.

The reason for a partner is that I have a very limited budget. I don’t want to tell you my hard luck story here.

Let’s just say I lost everything I had including my credit card.

Here’s my answer…

It all began 6 years ago with the story of how 1 idea inspired 6 people to work for free…

I was working on some graphic design projects with Matt Gill at Nitro Marketing who put me in touch with a guy called Tellman Knudson. At that time he was a complete unknown and was still about a year away from his first million online.

Tellman had this big business idea and wanted to know if I would be prepared to work with him for free. Then in exchange I would get a share of the profits when the project began to make money.

What is the most effective way to market my affiliate products? Is it fine to add an online store on my homepage?

The very best way to market or sell affiliate products is by writing an honest and unbiased review of the product. The review could be a video or just a text article. Then build a list of subscribers from the traffic generated.

If it’s a video you could use a free service like TubeMogul.com to automatically submit your video to dozens of social video sites at the same time. If it’s an article you could submit it to the different article directories out there. Ideally use both video and article writing together.

No matter what you decide to do always send people to an optin page (squeeze page). Remember, it’s all about building a list of subscribers.

The first thing you need to do is to get yourself another job or at least a part-time one because you’re doing this all way too soon!

You really need to get your online business to the point where it can easily replace the income of your main job FIRST.

Also, it’s not about who the best company to sign up with is. Signing up alone guarantees nothing, even if they’re the best company in the world.

Once you’ve got a job that covers your basic needs only then should you go back to the Internet.
When your needs are covered you then use your spare time to build your online business.

Unfortunately there is no magic button (or company to signup with) to guarantee your success. Let me tell you now… it will require hard work and study to get to where you want to be, no matter what other so called “gurus” tell you.

When you’re ready to jump back in again I recommend looking at things strategically rather then opportunistically. When you think strategically you’re looking at a bigger picture for yourself and working out a plan on how to get where you want to be. If you jump from one opportunity to the next I promise you’ll get nowhere fast.

I hate to say this but you’re going about this all wrong!

You’re not taking advantage of the full leverage available from the Internet by posting ads everywhere. Let me ask you this question… what happens when you stop posting ads? I’m guessing your income dries up altogether or at the very least gets close to zero, am I right?

Another problem (as you’ve pointed out) is with running out of places to post your ads to, this is madness! You’ve got to think beyond this and look at how you can use the Internet to give you back more time and freedom.

When you first start out trying to making money online you might think it’s all about posting links and ads, but I’m going to tell you it’s not.

What you really should be doing is building a subscriber list. Because a subscriber list gives you much more leverage of your time. With a good size subscriber list you can send out 1 email and earn $1,000’s within a matter of hours. And it only takes 5 minutes to send out that single email. Doesn’t this sound like a better more sustainable plan than posting ads and links all day long?

Getting started doesn’t cost very much either. But you will need a clear plan to follow. Here’s my best recommendation to you.

Step 1: Find a profitable market

The best method of building a responsive optin list is to first find a profitable market, find out what kinds of problems they have, create an enticing free product that solves one or more of those problems and offer it to them through an optin page (squeeze page). Then build a relationship with your subscribers through regular email contact.

It’s relatively easy to build a list but if you don’t know what you’re doing it’s much harder to build one that’s “also” responsive. In other words whenever you send out an email to your subscribers they click on your links and buy stuff from you.

The long and the short of it is, yes… it would be considered as spam. And it could also cost you your internet connection if you’re caught.

I know it’s very tempting to just email these people back with your own offer. But remember that they’ve not given you permission to send them commercial email messages. The best and most successful marketing is always permission based.

Simply put the people you’re emailing need to be expecting to hear from you on a regular basis with timely and useful information. This way you’ll get the very best results.

The most effective solution for you is to create an optin page (squeeze page) where you offer your target audience something of value in exchange for their name and email address. A good example of this is to offer them a free subscription to your own monthly newsletter.

This way you’re positioning yourself as an expert and they’re expecting to hear from you. Then on the other days email them with updates and promotions on products you think would be useful to them (using your affiliate link).
